GCPP Cooperative is a global cocoa company that grows and cultivates large-scale sustainable cocoa plantations worldwide. A leading cocoa producer in Cameroon based in Etoko, South West Region right in the heart of Cameroon’s cocoa growing belt. With an emphasis on meticulously delivering cocoa beans specifically tailored to our buyer’s requirements. GCPP Cooperative was Founded in 2020 to produce large-scale quality cocoa. Cocoa operations began on the 500-hectare farm, located in the municipality of Kepele in the SW Region of Cameroon.
GCPP Cooperative is a vision to boost the Agricultural Sector in Cameroon by internationalizing the cocoa and Plantain Industry in the country through the increase in quality and production, using modern technologies in farming.
We develop and operate commercial cocoa farms alongside smallholder farmers, providing them with the proper support and knowledge to improve local livelihood and increase income.
Local Empowerment: GCPP’s mission is centered on local responsibility and future advancement for smallholder farms, training employees with the necessary tools, knowledge, and technology to operate its commercial plantations.
As part of her objectives, GCPP Cooperative is presently engaged in youth and community empowerment. Some of these include agricultural trainings in the following domains:-
1. Plantain Suckers multiplication for large-scale farming
2. How to set up Cocoa Nursery for large-scale farming that meets international Standards
3. How to Nurse, plant, and treat oranges for large-scale farming
4. How to Nurse, treat and harvest Pepper for commercial purposes.
5. Supply of farm tools such as raincoats, rainboots, cutlasses, Cocoa chemicals to farmers, etc
6. Offers consultancy services for new farmers wishing to invest in the agricultural sector.
GCPP Cooperative also gives community assistance through the building of bridges linking farms to market roads etc.
Job Creation: GCPP Cooperative is proud to be able to create a chain of direct and indirect local jobs in the project region. We hire men and women alike and provide them with a familial atmosphere that promotes agricultural training, familiarity with tools, and advanced technologies.
GCPP Cooperative is a vision that was finally put in place as a Company with the name Global Cocoa Estate (GCE). After a year, a team of Dynamic youths with the same vision came together and agreed on taking the vision internationally and as a result, the name of the vision and status was changed from a company to a Cooperative with her new name Global Cocoa and Plantain Producers Cooperative (GCPP). Presently, GCPP keeps growing from strength to strength thanks to the commitment, dedication, and sacrifices of its Members.
GCPP Cooperative as of now produces 500 tonnes of Cocoa Beans annually and we look up to 1000 tonnes by 2025.
